San Francisco Bike Coalition

A story about Bike to Work Day for the San Francisco Bike Coalition.

Concept: The San Francisco Bicycle Coalition wanted coverage of the 2010 bike to work day event, to share in their email newsletter and demonstrate the event’s success to local politicians.

Execution: We spent the morning at one of their energy stations, gathering stories from bike commuters and the Bike Coalition staff about their efforts to make biking in SF safer and more fun. Mischa shot interviews with several bike commuters and a representative of the SF Bike Coalition on Market Street in San Francisco. The video was edited that same day in to provide timely coverage of the event for the organizations supporters and key political stakeholders.

Distribution: The video was distributed via YouTube, Facebook and SF Bike’s weekly email newsletter and shown to key political stakeholders in the San Francisco city council.

Success: The video gained over 800 views and has furthered the organization’s campaign for a more bike-able San Francisco.
